Board of Trustees

The Newton County Library Board of Trustees is an eight-member body that governs the Newton County Library System. The Board of Trustees sets policy for the Library, plans future service initiatives and supervises the Library Director in the administration of the Library system. The land, buildings, equipment and materials of the Library are under the governmental authority of the Library Board of Trustees.

Meeting Schedule

The Newton County Library Board of Trustees meets on the first Thursday of each quarter at 9:00 AM in the E. E. "Buck" Callaway Room. All meetings are open to the public. The dates for the calendar year 2010 are:
